Johanna (Hannah) was born in 1858. She grew up as the oldest child with seven younger siblings. When she was 11, her family immigrated to America and settled in Logan, Utah. At age 20, Hannah married Richard Thomas in Idaho. They had six children together. It is unknown if they divorced because Richard didn’t pass away until 1933, but in 1899 Hannah remarried John Chivers. She had two more children with him. Hannah lived the rest of her life in Idaho and passed away at age 82.
