Biography

Ane Johanne Poulsen was born on March 9, 1860 in Dronninglund, Denmark. She was the second of two daughters. In 1866, her family chose to leave Denmark to join other members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Utah. Ane made the journey across the Atlantic and across the plains as a very young girl. The family settled in Spanish Fork, Utah.

In 1882, Ane married Peter George Jensen, another Danish immigrant in Salt Lake City. They settled in Spanish Fork and had four children, two sons and two daughters, together. Ane lived to be seventy-one years old and died on June 6, 1931 in Palmyra, Utah.
