Biography
Anna Christine Hansen was born on April 4, 1852 in Taagerup, Denmark. She was the first of six children. Her parents joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1856, and in 1862, Anna, her parents, and her three siblings left Denmark for Utah. Anna's little brother and sister died during the journey, but she made it safely to Utah with her parents and her younger sister.
Anna's family settled in Cache Valley, Utah, where Anna met and married her husband, Thomas Fredrick Eggertz, in 1871. They had twelve children together, seven daughters and five sons. Anna lived out her life in Logan, Utah, where she died on September 8, 1918, at the age of sixty-six.
