Biography
Anna Bluth was born in Stockholm Sweden in 1861 to a family that embraced the gospel very early, she was just a child of 7 or 8 when she was baptized in Sweden. Then her family made the journey to the saints in Utah. They moved around Utah, Toole, Ogden, but finally settled in Ogden, where she continued her learning and Sunday school studies. When she was 18 and seeking a life companion, she inquired of the lord and got revelation that she needed to be married to Hyrum Belnap, in a plural marriage. She attended the dedication of the Salt Lake City temple in 1892. Plural marriage was outlawed a few years later and she went into hiding in Idaho where she wrote poetry to her husband. Throughout her life she reflected upon her testimony and was very faithful through it all. Then returning to Ogden in 1908 after things took a turn for the better. After building a brick home, she and her family lived there happily. She died in May of 1931 and was buried in the Ogden City Cemetery.
