Biography

Anna Britta Stromberg was born in 1838 in Sweden, joined the Church with her brothers and sisters in 1861, after the death of her father in 1862. Her mother had died previously when Anna was only 14 years old. All the siblings, four girls and two boys, joined Captain Joseph Horne’s Company in Nebraska and crossed the plains in 1862, Anna walking most of the way. She was soon married to Andrew Jens Isgreen [as a second wife] and moved to Granstville and then to Tooele. Of her eleven children only six grew to maturity having lost 5 of them as young children to illnesses. She helped her husband plant and care for a large orchard. She used wool to make cloth from which she made clothing for the family." Contributed by Allan Richard Tidwell 10 July 2914
