Biography
Martha was born in Raknerud, Norway, and emigrated to Utah with three of her sisters. She moved to Lehi, where she met and married Swedish immigrant and local blacksmith, carpenter, and farmer John Alfred Hendrickson. The two had eight children, seven of whom outlived their parents. Although Martha's husband was baptized into the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Utah records show the family as being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
