Biography

Charlotte (Lottie) was born in Sweden in 1837 as the fourth of six children. She grew up in a good home with religious teachings and adequate schooling. When Lottie was 23, she was taught and baptized by the missionaries. In 1863, she immigrated to Utah, having to travel as the poorest class. After arriving, she got a job as a housekeeper. Two years later, Lottie and her sister both married Charles, a man with dark hair and blue eyes. Lottie gave birth to three sons with him. Many years later, after one of her sons and his wife had died, Lottie took in her grandson and raised him. She was an excellent cook, especially when it came to bread and cookies. She made fancy drinks and wove carpets. She was loved by all and died in 1933 at age 96.
