Biography
Johanna was born and raised in Norway with eight younger siblings. In 1904 when she was about 30, she immigrated to Utah. In 1919 she became a professor at the Agricultural College of Utah and boarded with one of her coworkers. Johanna played a major role in building the Clothing and Textiles Department and later became the dean of Home Economics. She worked there for 20 years and students remembered that she was very kind and she never lost her Scandinavian accent. She lived the rest of her life in Logan and passed away 1954.
