Biography
Martine was born in Denmark in 1845. When she was four, her mother passed away. Her father was busy with work, so Martine was raised by a cousin throughout her whole childhood. After graduating, Martine got a job at an estate. There she met Christen Larsen who she married at age 31. They lived on a farm where they had five boys and five girls. In 1895, Christen passed away. Soon after, the missionaries came and taught Martine and one of her daughters the gospel. She converted and immigrated to Utah at age 60. Martine found the culture in America strange at first, but she was happy to join the saints. She lived in Idaho for five years before moving to Logan where she passed at age 80.
