Biography
Anna Sophia Eriksdotter was born in Ljungstorp, Orebro, Sweden on 3 July 1835 to Erick Johnsson and Christina Elizabeth Pehrsson. She joined the church in 1856. She eventually moved to Utah in 1861, travelling on the Monarch of the Sea. While en route to Utah she married Eric Pehrson on 16 May 1861. They lived for a time in Tooele, but ultimately settled in Vernon, 30 miles South of Tooele. Anna Sophia and Erick worked together to run the farm, clearing the land, planting and harvesting grain, and raising sheep. Anna Sophia frequently carded wool and made cloth from the spun wool. She had seven children who she raised to love music and receive a good education. Anna Sophia died on 10 January 1907 in Vernon, Utah and was buried in the same city.
