Biography
Martha Maria Christensen Albeck was born on February 1, 1830, in Sankt Mortens, Støvring, Randers, Denmark. She was the second of two children. Her family was well-off and she lived comfortably for many years. When she was older, she met and later married a friend of her brother, Jens Christian Falk Outzen, on November 18, 1852.
A few years later, in 1855, the Outzens joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They were faithful members in Denmark for many years before they eventually emigrated to the United States with their family in 1870. They were in the first group of saints to travel to Utah by rail. Martha and her family settled in Richfield, Utah, where she lived until her death on June 3, 1905.
