Biography
Martha K. Clemensen was the wife of Peter Isaacson, born May 7, 1822 on the island of Jegindo, Thistedant, Denmark. She joined the church in 1854 and emigrated to America, sailing from Liverpool, England, in the ship James Nesbith, January 7, 1855. She arrived at New Orleans February 23, 1855. She crossed the plains in Noah T. Guymans company which arrived in Salt Lake City Sept. 7, 1855 and located at Ephraim, Sanpete County, Utah where her brother was then living. On April 21, 1857 she married Peter Isaacson, as his second wife. The first was deceased. They were the parents of four children, viz: Peter Jr., Isaac, Maria, and Martin. Sister Isaacson was a faithful Latter-day Saint and n active worker in the Relief Society, both in Utah and in Arizona. She died December 13, 1913.
